We are continuously advancing the state of the art in computer vision and machine learning. At Apple, we have a balanced mix of research and focus on delivering only the best products. We are looking for an applied engineer to work on the next generation of Apple features to transform how people communicate.

You will be working in a diverse, fast moving team based in Zurich, Switzerland, and will interact regularly with teams based in Cupertino, USA.

Our team is focused on real-time computer vision and image processing, combining modern machine learning approaches with geometric knowledge from Computer Vision. With Animoji and ARKit we have brought facial motion capture into the consumer space. Our approach is based on detailed modeling of faces and large amounts of data.

To extend our scanning and modelling team we are looking for an expert in geometry processing and nonlinear optimisation. Experience with character modelling is a plus.

Key Qualifications

  • Expertise in nonlinear optimisation and geometry processing
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python
  • Experience with character modelling is a plus
  • Experience in large scale data processing is a plus
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and Computer Vision is a plus
  • Fluency in English is required

Description

You will be working in a fast paced team on large scale geometry processing problems. You will push the state of the art forward and make it work on real data at a large scale.

Education & Experience

PhD or Masters in computer science, computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, or equivalent.
