Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research and Global Capital Markets.
We are also responsible for Pioneer and Application Infrastructure groups that look to develop foundational strategies, tools and technologies that are leveraged across Technology, as well as standardized data and enterprise-wide services to provide leverage to the Firm's businesses.
We are looking for a C++ developer with strong object-oriented principles to join the Morgan Stanley RiskViewer Team. The team is a part of the Equity Risk Systems Group, which is tasked with providing real-time risk and P&L data to more than 600 equity derivatives traders globally. The team has developers in New York, London, Montreal and Hong Kong, who all interact regularly with the regional trading floors.
The ideal candidate for this role would have solid communication skills, a solid C++ foundation with experience in Boost, the STL and the C++14 standard. The candidate will design, build and maintain some of the core pieces that make up the Firm's equities risk platform. Although a dedicated support group provides bulk of day to day support, the candidate will be expected to provide 2nd level support to the regional traders occasionally.
Skills Required :
- 5 years of experience developing in C++ on Linux
- Very strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong Linux skills
- Strong object-oriented programming principles
- Good communication skills
- Boost, STL
- C++14 standard is a plus
- Knowledge of Java preferred
- Exposure in the financial industry, an asset
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and automation servers like Jenkins
Knowledge of French and English is required.
